Pole
Climbing and Ladder Safety Course: Working aloft
classes consist of 4 days of intense training covering
how
to safely and effectively ascend and descend wooden poles
using pole climbing gaffs and associated equipment. Students
will learn the "3 Points of Contact" method of climbing both
poles and ladders. Students will learn these skills through
classroom lecture and hands-on experience with a qualified
instructor. Class size is limited to provide maximum
student/instructor interaction. Each phase of the student's
progress is video taped and then analyzed in the classroom
to enhance the training experience. A video taped final exam
is provided to the company and a souvenir copy of the
learning experience is provided to each student.
Ladder safety is an
important and often over looked aspect of the job. Falls
from ladders when "trying to get the job done" and soft
tissue injuries associated with lifting, carrying, placing
and removal/replacement of the ladder from the work vehicle
are among most common and costly in the industry.
Classes are conducted at your
location using your equipment, providing a cost effective
training option for your company.
